As the APS we introduced the Level 4 Sales Apprenticeship and supported the development of the Level 6 Business to Business Sales Professional Degree Apprenticeship.

These two standards continue to grow in popularity and are a cost-effective way for employers to develop a new generation of skilled salespeople or upskill their existing sales teams.

  • What are sales apprenticeships?

    For employees, sales apprenticeships are a great way to learn and earn at the same time. No business can survive without selling and for employers, the sales apprentices, funded by the apprenticeship levy, offer the chance to boost your sales force with dynamic salespeople who have chosen to work in sales.

  • Why are sales apprentices good for business?

    It allows your organisation to embark on a programme of sales learning and performance improvement funded by your apprenticeship levy or by a small 5% contribution towards the cost of the apprenticeship. The learning is comprehensive and introduces sales professionals to the value of lifelong learning, creating a career path from first job to sales leader.

End Point Assessment

Following a period of training with an approved Apprenticeship Training Provider, every learner is subject to an End Point Assessment (EPA). A specific EPA Plan is devised to test the knowledge, skills and behaviours learned throughout the apprenticeship, to confirm the learner meets the required occupational standard.

The responsibility for end point assessment falls to an independent, ESFA2 approved End Point Assessment Organisation (or EPAO).

As an apprentice employer you need to choose an EPAO at the beginning of the apprenticeship. The ISP is the market leader for the end point assessment of the Sales Executive (Level 4) apprenticeship and we would be delighted to support your companies sales apprentice journey.
